Test couplings of the STAUFF Test 20 series with adaptor thread are preferable to flat-sealing test and diagnostic couplings

Apart from test couplings of the STAUFF Test 20 series (or comparable products) with an adaptation thread M16 x 2 according to ISO 15171-2 for connecting hoses or adapters with measuring, testing, and indicating devices, there is another product used in similar applications.

Flat-face version diagnostic plug-in couplings, whose design, dimensions and performance requirements are regulated by standards SAE J 1502 and ISO 15171-1, are widely used in the North American market.

  • no time-consuming and costly shutdown of the system required
  • connection of measuring hoses or adapters with measuring and display devices by hand, i.e. without tools
     

Protective cap

  • always supplied with pre-assembled protective cap from the manufacturer
  • robust knurled metal protective cap as standard, attached to the coupling body by chain
  • external o-ring between cap and body, which acts as vibration protection against self-loosening of the cap
  • no risk of dirt entering the hydraulic system after loosening or loss of the protective cap

  • male threaded test couplings with all internationally common connection threads and sealing types in hydraulics, bulkhead couplings, test couplings with DKO, JIC and ORFS connections as well as on straight DIN/ISO tube connectors are part of the standard range of all well-known manufacturers

  • permissible maximum operating pressure between 400 and 500 bar (depending on the manufacturer and the type of coupling)
  • no coupling / decoupling of measuring hoses or adapters with measuring and display devices possible under pressure
  • time-consuming and costly shutdown of the system required
  • connection of measuring hoses or adapters with measuring and display devices by hand, i.e. without tools
     

Protective cap

    • protective cap is supplied as an optional feature and must be assembled subsequently
    • simply designed protective cap made of plastic or rubber, which is attached to the coupling body by means of a strap
    • usually no vibration protection against self-loosening of the cap
    • risk of dirt entering the hydraulic system after loosening or loss of the protective cap
